The new UQ brand is the culmination of a years long effort that started with a modern update to our logotype. The custom typography, particularly the unique sans-meets-serif "Q", accentuates our legacy mark, while also preparing Upperquad for the future. "UQ", our clients' playful nickname also takes greater presence throughout our materials, providing an inviting layer of brand experience for viewers.

The rebrand is inspired by our advanced discovery and strategy processes. These research-oriented, thinking-based tools now permeate everything we make. They’re also critical to the future of creative organizations and the work they create. Work cannot be extraordinary without extraordinary thought. To emphasize this we turned to kinetic typography. Setting our words to motion is an open demonstration of our process: our typography is pushed, pulled, twisted, and tested, in the same way we investigate, iterate, clarify, and refine every detail of the work. These techniques project us as people who are actively testing new ways to see the world, purveyors of imagination who see the future and want to bring it a little closer each day.
